Scenario: You’re going around a corner and the bungee cords that have been holding your door together finally snap. Or you need some dents banged out, a touch-up paint job or your bumpers straightened after years of intimate Georgetown parking.

We will take your car to any auto body shop you’d like. If you’re not sure of a good shop, we have a list of vendors that we use.

For DC /MD / VA Auto Body Service we will need the following documents:

• Vehicle registration card
• Current vehicle insurance card

Also (please read carefully and thoroughly):

• The name, address, and phone number of the dealership/garage.
• The name of the service writer or contact person. (a person or a team)

Everything that must be done to the vehicle must be told to the service writer, not the USVRS representative.

Once the dealership/auto body shop gives you a total, you must pay for the work prior to our picking up the vehicle. No exceptions. USVRS can not write a check to a dealership/auto body shop.

If you speak to the service manager during the day and she or he tells you the vehicle is ready, please give us a call immediately. Sometimes, the service people forget to call us and your vehicle may languish there.

*Special note: We’ve learned that it’s best to make these service appointments for a Monday. This gives the dealership/auto body shop time to order and receive parts.
